Block cutting and slab production
The primary application. A 1400 or 1600 mm blade runs all day, so consistent segment wear matters more than peak cutting speed.
Replacement diamond segments for 1400 mm and 1600 mm circular saw blades — the format used on bridge saws and large block cutters in stone yards.
A large blade is only as good as its segments, and a segment is only as good as its bond. The bond has to wear at exactly the rate the diamond dulls: too hard and the segment glazes, too soft and it wears out with the diamond still sharp. On a 1400 or 1600 mm blade that difference is measured in square metres of stone cut, not in pieces. Hubei Qianzhao Diamond Tools Co., Ltd (Ezhou, Hubei) produces 3 million diamond segments a year and exports to 14 countries.
Segment dimensions, diamond grit and bond are confirmed on quotation against the blade and the stone being cut.
Look at the segment, not the cut. A segment that has gone smooth and shiny is too hard for the stone; one that wears down fast with the diamond still protruding is too soft. The correct bond shows even wear with the diamond just standing proud of the metal.
| What you are cutting | What to ask for |
|---|---|
| Hard, dense granite | Harder bond with finer diamond — the stone is slow to abrade, so the bond must hold |
| Soft, abrasive stone | Softer bond so the metal wears and exposes fresh diamond |
| Marble and limestone | Free-cutting bond — these stones are soft and load a hard bond immediately |
| Reinforced concrete and asphalt | Tough bond with higher diamond concentration to survive steel and impact |
Segment wear is the only reliable feedback you get from a large blade. Check the segment height across the set, not just one segment — uneven wear means the blade is out of true or the water is not reaching the whole arc, and no bond will fix that.
Segment dimensions, grit and bond are set per blade and per stone. They are confirmed on your quotation — we do not publish a single specification, because the stone decides it.

Two blade formats, and the bond changes with the stone. Everything else is set at quotation.
| Blade | Application | Stone | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1400 mm | Bridge saw / block cutter | Granite | Bond and grit set to the granite hardness |
| 1400 mm | Bridge saw / block cutter | Marble, limestone | Free-cutting bond |
| 1600 mm | Bridge saw / block cutter | Granite | Larger format, set quoted as a full blade set |
| 1600 mm | Bridge saw / block cutter | Marble, limestone | Free-cutting bond |
Segment dimensions, grit and bond are set per blade and stone, and confirmed on the quotation. Never exceed the maximum rpm printed on the blade.
Built for large circular blades in stone yards. Selection should account for the stone, the blade diameter and the water supply.
The primary application. A 1400 or 1600 mm blade runs all day, so consistent segment wear matters more than peak cutting speed.
Hard dense stone abrades slowly, so the bond has to be hard enough to hold the diamond until it dulls. A soft bond here wears out with the diamond still sharp.
Soft stone loads a hard bond within minutes. A free-cutting bond keeps the segment open and the cut cool.
Segments can be marked to match your blade branding. Marking is confirmed against the segment size — small segments have limited mark area.
Skin packaging, colour boxes and neutral export cartons — including cartons with no branding for distributors.
Segment dimensions, diamond grit and bond hardness are set per order against the blade and the stone, subject to a minimum order quantity.
Qianzhao has been making diamond tools in Ezhou, Hubei for seven years. The plant produces 100,000 blades and 3 million diamond segments a year, and exports to 14 countries.
Segments are pressed and sintered in-house, then welded to the core on high-frequency welding machines. Segment production is 3 million pieces a year, which is what allows a bond to be set per stone rather than picked from a catalogue.
From the stone and from how the current segments are wearing. Hard dense granite needs a harder bond; soft abrasive stone needs a softer one. Send us a photo of a worn segment and the stone type and we can advise.
The bond is too hard for the stone, or the water flow is too high, or the feed is too light. Glazing means the metal is polishing over the diamond instead of wearing away to expose it.
No. Segments on one blade must come from the same batch and the same bond, otherwise they wear at different rates and the blade runs unevenly. Order a full set per blade.
High-frequency welding is standard, which gives a deeper heat-affected zone than laser welding and holds the segment under shock loading. Brazed and laser options are available on request.
1400 mm and 1600 mm are the standard formats. Other diameters can be quoted — send the blade size and the segment dimensions you currently use.
